Review: Courtyard by Marriott London Heathrow (ft. airport runway views)

The new Courtyard at London Heathrow airport joins Marriott's collection of Renaissance, Sheraton, Marriott, and Moxy branded hotels in the area. Situated on the northeast corner of the airport perimeter, it is convenient for passengers transiting through LHR, especially terminals 2 and 3. The hotel opened in 2021 and served briefly as a quarantine hotel during the COVID-19 pandemic, before opening to regular guests soon after.

Outdoor seating is also available with aircraft activity visible. This is a nice spot for plane spotting, although serious spotters should note that this is at the end of the runway.

Impression

This is the newest Marriott-branded hotel in the area. The rooftop bar is the hotel's highlight. Marriott Bonvoy members seeking lounge access may prefer the Sheraton or Marriott nearby, while serious plane spotters may prefer the Renaissance which is closer to the runway action.
