Photos: Malaysia Airlines Golden Lounge Domestic & B737 Business Class Seats

Malaysia Airlines operates three Golden Lounges at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. These are the "International" at the Satellite building (previously reviewed here), "Regional" at the Main Terminal building, and "Domestic" at Terminal A. These are complimentary for Business Suite (renamed from First Class) and Business Class passengers. Economy class passengers can also purchase lounge access; this is slightly cheaper, although still expensive, if booked online instead of at the door. Alternatively, Enrich members can redeem their miles for lounge passes, but they must be travelling with a MH ticket.

These passengers travelling within Malaysia are invited to the Golden Lounge Domestic, located at Domestic Terminal A (beside Gate A2). It is open from 5am to midnight although this may be adjusted to cater to flight schedules.

Seated by the window, one can see a line of narrow-body aircraft bound that serve flights within Malaysia and the region. There are more seats further inside the lounge. The seats feature power sockets of the type G variant used in Malaysia.

Domestic B737 Business Class

The aircraft that day was an old Boeing 737-800 with black leather seats—this is neither the newer version with in-flight entertainment screens, nor the newest one introduced in 2022 that feature refurbished seats with a smaller 39'' pitch and come without the screens. There are four rows in a 2-2 configuration for business class, for a total of 16 seats.

The airline's signature Satay was served onboard the very short flight, together with peanuts and a drink of choice.
